Call for Reviewers

The Associated Schools of Construction Region 1 understands the benefits of the peer review procedure in the overall publication process — not only in assisting the author in crafting their individual publication, but also in supporting the integrity and reputation of the conference proceedings process. Identifying and selecting appropriate reviewers who have proficiency and interest in the various topics unique to each manuscript are essential elements in ensuring a timely, productive peer review process. For this conference, reviewers are asked to review several manuscripts and to return their comments within one week. In an effort to facilitate the selection of appropriate peer reviewers for the ASC Region 1 conference proceeding, we ask that you take a moment to send your contact information to Dr. Michael Emmer at:   by Friday, September 9, 2016.

Call for Papers

Given the time restrictions and the extent of review for these submittals, the pre-submission of abstracts will not be required. Manuscripts are to be submitted in Microsoft Word format to: . Authors are required to use the ASC Style Guide for conference proceedings in preparing papers in preparation for an ultimate submittal to the International Proceedings. The early due dates are in response to the early submittal dates required for submittal of papers to the International Proceedings. This year, the submittals for the International Proceedings are being accepted between October 1 and November 1. (Please check with their website for verification of these dates and for any updates.) The following timeline for Region 1 papers is necessary to provide peer feedback before the International Proceedings dates.

Timeline

The following timeline will apply for the review process:

• Friday, September 23, 2016 – Manuscripts are to be submitted NO LATER than 5:00 PM. Note: Faculty registration for the conference must be completed by presenters in order to be included in the proceedings and to be scheduled for a presentation time slot.
• Friday, October 7, 2016 – All decisions and review comments will be sent back to author for revision.
• Monday, October 17, 2016 – Revised manuscripts MUST be sent back NO LATER than 5:00 PM to be included in the proceedings.
