On behalf of the entire leadership of Region 1 of the Associated Schools of Construction, I welcome you to this year’s competition and conference. We are proud to welcome member schools, industry supporters, judging category firms, faculty and students, as well as guests and other participants to this year’s event.
This annual event continues in large part because of the support of the entire construction industry and its continual efforts to grow and learn. Part of that effort is to prepare the next generation of construction industry leaders for the rapid and exciting challenges that we will face in the immediate future. This competition tests the best-of-the-best across our region to compete for prizes and the chance to prove what they have learned on their home campus in the crucible presented by our industry judge panels.
As part of the conference we also feature an employer expo/showcase that is not just about getting a job, but launching a career and creating the needed connections that propel our industry forward in many directions. Please ensure you visit those firms that are looking to be a part of our futures together. Additionally, we will host several presentation sessions on Saturday where students, faculty, industry partners, and other participants alike, can learn more about where the industry is going and what we can do to stay ahead of the ever-steeper learning curve..
Lastly, in the spirit of our industry and of the ethical foundation we all ascribe to, we ask that all competitors adhere to the competition rules and guidelines, work hard, and have a ton of fun! All the best to all of you and may the best team, in each category, rise to the top
